Our Story

Welcome to Luna’s Cafe! My name is Adela, “Adelita” for my family.

When I was asked “why did you want to open a café?”  I had many mixed thoughts and feelings that were hard to put into words…after pondering this for quite a LONG time I came up with a simple reason. I want to take people back to my childhood in Mexico. Memories of grandma Petra (Tita) Luna and the treats she made for special occasions – pan dulce and café de olla. With nights where the family, including the children, would sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee and bread as a way to relax before bed. Yeap!! Imagine that, giving sweet bread and coffee to small children and than sending them to bed.

As I grew up I learned to make different breads and sweets which I enjoy eating and learned I enjoyed making them just as much.

I hope that others who enjoy sweet treats and a good cup of coffee or champurrado (hot chocolate) have a place to feel welcome and have a little taste of home at Luna’s!!
